While Melatonin is a hormone that is naturally secreted in the brain, irregular sleep patterns can be developed due to a wide variety of health-related issues or premature aging. Melatonin supplementation is commonly used as a non-addictive sleep-aid and may assist in normalizing abnormal sleep habits.
Anecedotal evidence suggests that Melatonin may have neuroprotective benefits and have antioxidant properties. Because Melatonin helps regular sleep patterns (thus allowing for better sleep), it is suggested that it may also positively increase mood.
As a dietary supplement, take one 300mcg Melatonin capsule daily.
Nootropics Depot offers a 120ct. jar of 300mcg Melatonin capsules. Nootropics Depot's Melatonin has been lab-tested and verified for both product purity and identity.

I use melatonin only occasionally for jet lag, etc.
Mostly, I give it to my elderly parents. It works very well to keep their sleep cycles on track. But i guinea pig myself with everything "new". These little gelcaps surprised me with their speed. Usually, store-bought tablets take an hour to feel anything. These get there in 20-30 minutes. Rob on 5th Jun 2017

...and only putting 300mcg in the capsules. Too many people take more thinking it will lead to greater effect...but with melatonin, when less is taken, a greater effect is achieved. srubek on 19th Aug 2016
