Zembrin Powder | Sceletium tortuosum aerial parts

  • Product Description

What is Zembrin Sceletium tortuosum Extract?

Zembrin is the world’s leading researched and clinically studied extract of the Sceletium tortuosum herb developed over more than a decade by an international team of scientists and physicians. With self-affirmed Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status in USA, Zembrin is an evidence-based extract of the Sceletium tortuosum herb that has been thoroughly studied for safety and efficacy in comprehensive pre-clinical and clinical studies.

What are Kanna Effects and Benefits?

Most kanna extracts are high in mesembrine, which is a serotonin re-uptake inhibitor. However, Zembrin was developed using a special strain of Sceletium tortuosum plant to contain a specific amount and ratio of alkaloids, but contain very little mesembrine. This allows for a unique range of effects in Zembrin that you will not find with traditional kanna extracts. So while the plant used is the same species, the strain itself and the extraction process leads to a completely different product. Zembrin is experiential – its effects can actually be experienced. It has mood-enhancing, stress-reducing and cognitive function enhancing activities, all of which can be of benefit to healthy people suffering from stress. The unique signature of Zembrin is ‘alert serenity’.

What Makes the Zembrin Form of Sceletium tortuosum Unique?

The first standardized Sceletium tortuosum extract, Zembrin is manufactured to the hightest international standarts at a certified EU-GMP manufacturer. It is produced from HG&H’s own elite naturally occurring chemotype of Sceletium tortuosum – the first large-scale commercial cultivation of a Sceletium chemotype. The Zembrin supplement has been patented, with granted patents and new patent applications and is the only Sceletium tortuosum extract with published pharmacology. Note that all clinical and preclinical research on Zembrin applies only to this proprietary standardized Sceletium tortuosum extract, and not to other Sceletium tortuosum -based supplements.

When HG&H set out to develop Zembrin they were determined to formally acknowledge and reward the contribution of the San people who had originally discovered and used the South African plant Sceletium. This has been achieved through a formal benefit-sharing agreement with the South African San Council: Africa’s first prior-informed consent benefit-sharing agreement. As a result, Zembrin is the only Sceletium product to carry the logo of its indigenous beneficiaries, the South African San Council.

Sceletium tortuosum is a protected species and wild-harvesting is not sustainable for commercial products. HG&H committed at the outset to only use cultivated plant material in the production of Zembrin to avoid depleting threatened wild plant stocks, and to ensure consistent product quality. We have achieved this by investing in a highly successful new crop development programme, and cultivate our own selection of Sceletium tortuosum on a large commercial scale.

    1. No Effect

Love Nootropics Depot's speed of shipping. Was looking for something to cycle every other day with Phenibut and had hopes with Zembrin (with the understanding that nothing probably would compare to Phenibut) ...Would be nice if these products came with a measuring scoop but i purchased one online and tried the Zembrin...several times, different dosages... and just simply felt nothing...I give one star because there seemed to be a slight effect the first dose...but that was probably placebo as I felt nothing with subsequent doses. Plus the jar was much bigger than the miniscule looking product inside. on 21st Jan 2018

    2. Fantastic

I have tried a lot of Kanna in my time and chewing the whole root can be a pain.
This stuff is convenient, consistent and potent.

Excellent product as always, you folks are great.

    3. great, natural

This is a Kanna extract that has great properties. A little goes a long way. Very relaxing. There is only one problem with this product which is it absorbs moisture easily. Also, you need a scale that measures in the milligrams to use this stuff because the dosage is 25mg. on 17th Apr 2017

    4. Zembrin, and how to deal with moisture.

I bought a refill bag of DampRid from Home Depot and placed a 1/2" inch worth into a pint-size plastic container. I put the open container of Zembrin on top the layer of DampRid and placed the lid on the plastic container. I was able to dry out the Zembrin overnight, and crush the dry blobs back into a powder quite easily. on 17th Aug 2016

    5. Works well, but I prefer tianeptine sulfate.

I would probably need more experience with this substance to give a true judgment
      As always, YMMV.

    6. do nothing for me

Didnt feel anything from it , Take it 3 days in a row but feel nothing . I wiil encrase the dose on 25th Jun 2016

    7. Did nothing for me personally

This did not do anything for me personally. The second star is only because some people seem to get results. This is one of those supplements that is highly variable, there is high chance that it will do absolutely nothing. If you're a seasoned experimenter, give it a go. If you're looking for more reliable starting supplements, keep looking around the site and reading up on /r/nootropics or whatever forum you are using. on 12th Jun 2016

    8. Difficult to handle

The stuff is really sticky and is kind of expensive for the reaction I had to it. It didn't produce much effect for me, and from my reading, I was expecting it to be great. Could be my own expectations ruining my experience. It's the only product of Nootropics Depot ( and I've ordered 9-10 different products on here) where I have had 'eh' results. So it's not the company, just not effective on my brain. on 10th Jun 2016

    9. Works great

On it's own I do not really notice a ton of differenc. I'd say it has a subtle effect of being able to help manage some intrusive thoughts and worries. now I can maintain a calm all throughout the shift. I've also noticed a massive improvement in my ability to start and maintain conversations with customers. on 9th Jun 2016

    10. Big mood boost

This stuff is fantastic for boosting mood quickly. It is just a little hard to scoop. It likes to stick to things. But it's worth the hassle for the effects. Sublingual seems to be best for me. on 21st May 2016
