Zembrin® is the world’s leading researched and clinically studied extract of Sceletium tortuosum developed over more than a decade by an international team of scientists and physicians. With self-affirmed Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status in USA, Zembrin® is an evidence-based botanical supplement that has been thoroughly studied for safety and efficacy in comprehensive preclinical as well as clinical studies.
Zembrin® is experiential – its effects can actually be experienced. It has mood-enhancing, anxiety-reducing and cognitive function enhancing activities, all of which can be of benefit to healthy people suffering from stress. The unique signature of Zembrin® is ‘alert serenity’.
The first standardized extract to have been made from Sceletium, Zembrin® is manufactured to the hightest international standarts at a certified EU-GMP manufacturer. It is produced from HG&H’s own elite naturally occurring chemotype of Sceletium – the first large-scale commercial cultivation of a Sceletium chemotype. The product has been patented, with granted patents and new patent applications and is the only Sceletiumextract with published pharmacology. Note that all clinical and preclinical research on Zembrin® applies only to this proprietary standardized Sceletium extract, and not to other Sceletium-based products.
When HG&H set out to develop Zembrin® they were determined to formally acknowledge and reward the contribution of the San people who had originally discovered and used the South African plant Sceletium. This has been achieved through a formal benefit-sharing agreement with the South African San Council: Africa’s first prior-informed consent benefit-sharing agreement. As a result, Zembrin® is the only Sceletium product to carry the logo of its indigenous beneficiaries, the South African San Council.
Sceletium tortuosum is a protected species and wild-harvesting is not sustainable for commercial products. HG&H committed at the outset to only use cultivated plant material in the production of Zembrin® to avoid depleting threatened wild plant stocks, and to ensure consistent product quality. We have achieved this by investing in a highly successful new crop development programme, and cultivate our own selection ofSceletium on a large commercial scale.

I have found this product beneficial for anxiety, but saw that its affinity for water was going to be a problem. I bought a refill bag of DampRid from Home Depot and placed a 1/2" inch worth into a pint-size plastic container. I put the open container of Zembrin on top the layer of DampRid and placed the lid on the plastic container. I was able to dry out the Zembrin overnight, and crush the dry blobs back into a powder quite easily. John on 17th Aug 2016
I would probably need more experience with this substance to give a true judgment; however, I noted a few things that make Kanna inferior to Tianeptine for me. This first issue is pupil dilation -they got really big the first few times I took this, which I do not like. The next is ease of handling. After a few uses, the powder started to take on water and got resin-y. The final reason I might not come back to this compound is it's purported SSRI effects. I have taken pharmaceutical SSRI's before and I wasn't a fan of the result. A saving grace for this herb might be the PDE-4 inhibition. I need to learn more about this mechanism, however.
As always, YMMV. Kyle W on 7th Jul 2016

This did not do anything for me personally. The second star is only because some people seem to get results. This is one of those supplements that is highly variable, there is high chance that it will do absolutely nothing. If you're a seasoned experimenter, give it a go. If you're looking for more reliable starting supplements, keep looking around the site and reading up on /r/nootropics or whatever forum you are using. Adam on 12th Jun 2016
The stuff is really sticky and is kind of expensive for the reaction I had to it. It didn't produce much effect for me, and from my reading, I was expecting it to be great. Could be my own expectations ruining my experience. It's the only product of Nootropics Depot ( and I've ordered 9-10 different products on here) where I have had 'eh' results. So it's not the company, just not effective on my brain. Todd H on 10th Jun 2016
On it's own I do not really notice a ton of difference in anxiety levels, I'd say it has a subtle effect of being able to help manage some intrusive thoughts and worries.
But when coupled with Phenibut this stuff really shines, I wait tables and I need to be focused but also keep my stress levels down in order to provide the best service, this has really helped me do that. Before I would get really stressed and loose my focus when we got really busy, now I can maintain a calm all throughout the shift. I've also noticed a massive improvement in my ability to start and maintain conversations with customers. Unknown on 9th Jun 2016
This stuff is fantastic for boosting mood quickly. It is just a little hard to scoop. It likes to stick to things. But it's worth the hassle for the effects. Sublingual seems to be best for me. Unknown on 21st May 2016
Wow, this stuff really works. It boosts my mood and kills my anxiety. One of the most effective natural supplements I have tried so far. Chuck C on 28th Apr 2016
1 hour after taking 25 mg. I am more focused, confident, and have much less anxiety.
