I noticed more energy, similar to a B12 shot. I've seen methylcobalamin raise B12 high out of the normal range (harmless). Since the liver stores B12 (half life 400 days or so, unlike other water soluble vitamins), it's not a waste to take a fairly high dose. This has two types of bioavailable B12 (unlike the normal, unnatural B12, cyanocobalamin), so it's comprehensive coverage against a deficiency that can cause permanent nerve damage.
