Uridine monophosphate, often shortened to UMP, is a nucleotide base that acts as a monomer in RNA. It is a chemical compound derived from phosphoric acid and the nucleoside uridine and is used in the body to increase the synthesis of cellular membranes. When consumed as a supplement, uridine monophosphate powder offers numerous potential benefits to your physical and cognitive health.
Uridine is one of the four main building blocks of RNA aside from radenosine, cytidine, and guanine. Adults create uridine in their livers in the form of uridine monophosphate, which is secreted into your blood. High levels of uridine monophosphate can be found in beer as well as breast milk, various plants, and certain infant formulas. Uridine can also be found in the form of uridine triphosphate
There are several uridine monophosphate uses, and the body uses the compound in various processes, including signaling the creation of neurotransmitter synapses and promoting the repair of DNA and growth of cells.
Uridine monophosphate presents a variety of potential benefits to the body and mind. Studies have shown that uridine monophosphate may promote improved learning and memory abilities by increasing the production of acetylcholine, a prominent neurotransmitter. UMP may also increase the formation of new neural synapses, which may point to greater mental capacity.
Studies also suggest that uridine monophosphate may improve spatial learning and attention span. This may be a result of the compound’s effect on dopamine production. Dopamine is a powerful neurotransmitter associated with mood, motivation, and attention span. Other potential cognitive benefits of uridine monophosphate as suggested by research include:
Uridine monophosphate may also provide sleep support. Studies found that uridine increased slow-wave, or deep, sleep in rats who had been sleep deprived. Preliminary studies show that slow-wave sleep is necessary to help the brain recover from its daily activities.
Uridine monophosphate may also provide neuroprotection and improve the phospholipid content in your cell membranes. Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid necessary to synaptic function and overall cellular health. Producing phosphatidylcholine requires CDP-choline, which requires uridine and cytidine. Uridine can be converted into cytidine in the body.
As a dietary supplement, take 150mg of Uridine Monophosphate 1-2 times daily.

I’ve used Uridine Monophosphate with great results. My mood began to improve, memory was better, and overall sense of well-being began to subtly shift towards the positive!

Came quickly altogether and packaged professionally. Colin Boda on 3rd Aug 2018
Fast postage, good packaging.......a little bit costly......yet to begin taking Unknown on 11th Jun 2018
We need to add expiration date on the package label. It must be included on label in order to be able to continue ordering.
FDA regulations stipulate that an expiration date should only be put on a label if you have scientific evidence of its accuracy. Most places just slap a 3 year date on it and call it a day. That's actually against FDA regulations. The last 4 digits of your lot number is the production date of your bottle, though. So if you are concerned about how old the product is, that gives you that info. However, we go through our inventory so fast. Most products completely cycle through lots in a matter of months. I have been taking little scoops a couple times a day under my tongue. It dissolves pretty fast. Doesnt taste bad, just salty. I think i have noticed improved memory after taking it for about 2 weeks with fish oil. Tristan Michael Strejc on 11th Mar 2018
since uridine is a naturally occurring compound in my body I am choosing to use it as a neuro-protectant as i continue into my early 70's along with a variety of other nootropics. Easy to take and the taste is ok and I have tasted some truly nasty supplements. disciple111 on 17th Feb 2018
love this stuff, helps me sleep better, and just overall balances my energy levels and thought processes in a way I think Unknown on 3rd Feb 2018
I take in small doses everything, and this has maybe helped me a little with concentration Barak Skop on 9th Dec 2017
