Description

What is Lactococcus Plasma?

Lactococcus Lactis Strain Plasma (LC-Plasma) is a clinically researched strain of lactic acid bacterium.* For years, there was an established belief that no existing lactic acid bacteria was able to activate plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). pDCs are a pivotal leader within the immune system and play a critical role in supporting immune health.

After years of experimentation and exploring over 100 lactic acid bacteria with cutting-edge technology, researchers from Kirin finally discovered a lactic acid bacterium that can activate pDCs! This lactic acid bacterium is called Lactococcus Lactis Strain Plasma, the ‘plasma’ at the end of the name referring to the ability of this lactic acid bacterium's ability to activate PLASMAcytoid dendritic cells! So what does this mean for our health and what benefits can we expect when supplementing with LC-Plasma?

LC-Plasma Benefits and Uses

    • May help promote immune health and function
    • May help support respiratory function
    • May help promote digestive function
    • May help support exercise performance
    • May help support high-intensity exercise
    • May help support skin health

What Is LC-Plasma?

LC-Plasma is a heat killed and shelf stable lactic acid bacterium. This gives it the classification of a paraprobiotic, rather than a traditional probiotic. Unlike traditional probiotics, which are alive and require refrigeration, paraprobiotics have been inactivated and are no longer alive. Instead, LC-Plasma is an isolated fraction from the cells of the bacterium which activate pDCs. This makes it an exceptionally stable product, with probiotic-like effects. All the benefits of a probiotic with none of the hassle, that’s a win-win situation!

How Does LC-Plasma Work?

LC Plasma Diagram

The first step to supporting holistic health starts with maintaining a healthy immune system. LC-Plasma promotes the function of the body’s entire immune system by activating the immune system's master regulator; pDCs.

pDCs are one of several types of immune cells. The defining characteristics of pDCs are that they produce interferon alpha (IFN-α). IFN-α sends signals to other immune cells to for example, suppress cell proliferation. Essentially, pDCs play the “commander in chief” role of the immune system by activating other immune cells. Conventional lactic acid bacteria can activate some types of immune cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells. However, they cannot activate pDCs which in turn activate a variety of other immune cells; it was held impossible worldwide for any lactic acid bacterium to activate pDCs, until now.

With the demands of a modern lifestyle, achieving a work-life balance can take a toll on your health. Whether you are a hard working professional or athlete, ensure you are getting clinically-researched immune support with LC-Plasma.*

LC-Plasma Dosage

LC-Plasma Stacks

LC-Plasma is a fantastic stand alone ingredient for a variety of purposes, as it has such a comprehensive effect. However, we can still tease out and amplify some of its effects in the context of a stack. Below are three different stacks that each focus on a unique aspect of LC-Plasma’s comprehensive effects profile.

Immune Stack:

LC-Plasma + Immune Defense: If you really want to cover all of your bases, combining our novel Immune Defense stack, with LC-Plasma, will be like putting on knight’s armor! This stack will help significantly promote your body's natural immune response.

Fitness Stack:

LC-Plasma + Creatine Monohydrate: Our immune system plays an important role in exercise performance. LC-Plasma in particular, appears to have a highly positive effect on exercise performance, and thus it makes a great stack with a classic exercise promoting supplement, Creatine Monohydrate. Together, LC-Plasma and Creatine Monohydrate will help you get the most out of your workouts!

Skin Health Stack:

LC-Plasma + Green Tea Extract: In a study on LC-Plasma, it was found that LC-Plasma may help balance the bacteria in our skin. By doing this, it may help significantly promote skin health and appearance!
