TeaCrine Theacrine Capsules

What is Theacrine?

Theacrine is an alkaloid structurally similar to Caffeine, and preliminary evidence suggests that it activates similar signalling pathways. The preliminary evidence also suggests less tolerance buildup with theacrine. However, the tolerance effects have not been clinically proven. It is found in the camellia assamica variant, kucha, which is from what Kucha tea is made. One study that noted stimulation with theacrine failed to find any tolerance over the course of seven days; a time frame where caffeine would normally show tolerance. This suggests that the body either does not, or may have a reduced tolerance, to theacrine.

Theacrine vs Caffeine

TeaCrine is a Natural Caffeine Alternative

Based on preclinical and human clinical research, Theacrine benefits include:

  • Supports healthy metabolic activity and energy production*
  • Decreases physical discomfort associated with intense exercise*
  • Reduces perceived exertion from exercise*
  • Increases cellular protection through oxidation balancing activity*
  • Supports a positive mood and decreased feelings of stress and irritability*
  • Increases motivation to exercise and accomplish tasks*
  • Increases neural drive*

Theacrine's Catecholaminergic and Adenosinergic Activity

Theacrine’s effects come from the reactions between two neural pathways, catecholaminergic and adenosinergic pathways. By affecting these major pathways and supporting other neurotransmitters, Theacrine increases energy without irritability and enables competitive athletes, active individuals and driven professionals to enhance their physical and mental performance.* As documented in an open-source scientific publication on theacrine, concentrated theacrine doses support catecholaminergic signaling. Research on theacrine also indicated that the compound increases activity in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) region of the brain which is believed to support motivation and general cognitive function.*

In addition to its effects on catecholaminergic signalling, Theacrine (as TeaCrine®) is also thought to regulate adenosinergic activity.* Adenosine plays an important role in biochemical processes that promote fatigue, sedation and relaxation.* By regulating the activity of the A1 and A2a receptors, Theacrine (as TeaCrine®) may help decrease perceived feelings of fatigue making this a great option for those looking for a theacrine pre workout supplement or other theacrine bodybuilding benefits.* It is believed that TeaCrine may be the best theacrine supplement for its ability to promote energy while minimizing chances of irritability.* Athletes have reported that Teacrine elevated endurance and strength levels making it the best theacrine supplement for fitness-related uses.* Many users have reported that TeaCrine’s dual action on activating catecholamine receptors and regulating adenosinergic receptors helps them maintain healthy levels of focus and energy making it the best theacrine supplement for long bursts of productivity.*

Theacrine Dosage

As a dietary supplement, take one 100mg TeaCrine® capsule daily.

Inconsistent or no effects, at times seems to negatively impact mood. Not recommended, but YMMV.

    TeaCrine ® is quality L-Theanine

Posted by Jay on 27th Nov 2018

Two (2) capsules of TeaCrine® (200 mg) combined with 1 scoop of Swinney Nutrition's SF-187 is the perfect combination for long-lasting and jitter-free energy. The synergy of Caffeine and Ampiberry® from SF-187 with 200 mg TeaCrine® creates incredible focus, increased attention, and a boost in mental cognition. I am satisfied with the quality of service, the speed of shipments, and the price of the product. I will continue to buy my single-ingredient products from NootropicsDepot.com

Takes some time to feel the effect

Posted by Chris on 18th Sep 2018

I've used Theacrine to replace my daily coffee intake. I've found that the effect is not as imminent as with caffeine. If i am on an empty stomach and take it first thing in the morning, it works better. There are no jitters, no noticeable after effects and no crash. I can't pinpoint the exact time that Theacrine stops interacting with my brain. It seems to me that i am a bit more alert and with a clear head, all day long. I've tried doubling the dose and i can't say that it is worth it. You are just spending your supply without any practical reason. I've also taken a dose at night. A few hours before bed time. I had no issue sleeping. If i had taken some coffee instead, i'd be doomed. All and all a worthy product to try.

    Better than caffeine

Posted by Unknown on 17th Sep 2018

I'm on my second bottle. For me, a pill of Theacrine is more pleasant than a cup of coffee. There is less speediness and it's longer laster. Seems to be no crash, as happens sometimes with caffeine. I still consume caffeine, but have cut back a bunch.

    Increased Wakefulness

Posted by Matt on 29th Aug 2018

For me this provides a noticeable increase in wakefulness. 100mg works despite a moderate caffeine tolerance. It takes upto 3 hours to kick in and then lasts throughout the day. There are no jitters but it doesn't provide the same physical energy and motivation as caffeine. The primary effect is most noticeably wakefulness and perhaps a slight lift in mood that comes from that. It doesn't appear to help much with focus (despite being awake the mind still wanders) or exercise performance. 200mg doesn't appear to provide much more benefit than 100mg. It has a long half-life and the effects diminish over time so I will continue to have 100mg occasionally when I feel I need it most: when I'm abnormally tired. Despite the hype, it does seem to build a gradual tolerance with daily usage and it isn't a miracle compound, but it does have its purpose. If I didn't have a slight tolerance to caffeine, the effects may be stronger.

    Better than caffeine

Posted by Codger with writing skills on 25th Nov 2017

As advertised, teacrine mimics the effects of caffeine without jitters or a post-dose crash. As a rule of thumb I limit total dosage to three 100mg capsules per day spaced as one 100mg in the morning with coffee and later as many as two 100 mg capsules taken at once. When stack planning I rely on teacrine to stave off the mood dropoff that might follow the 2-3 hour (relatively short-lived) Aniractem mood and pattern recognition benefit. To that end I sometimes take 100mg of teacrine an hour or two before Aniracetam alone - both early in the day.

Palpitation free and milder version of caffeine

Posted by Unknown on 30th Aug 2017

As a sleep deprived college student, 100 mg of this is enough to get me awake enough to get through class but it's stimulant effects seem more clear and mild compared to caffeine. When combined with caffiene and l-theanine especially, this stuff provides a familiar buzz to most, with a slight difference in headspace.
