Magnesium is an essential cofactor for more than 300 enzymes involved in biosynthesis processes and energy metabolism. It plays an important role in many of the brain's functions. This protects the brain from the negative effects of overactivation of the NMDA receptor. NMDA receptor activation, however, is also vital for the formation of memories and this is where Magnesium has a very unique effect. It increases the amount of NMDA receptors in the brain, whilst blocking background activation, which means that when the NMDA receptors get activated during memory formation, there will be a much stronger NMDA receptor response, leading to deeper and faster encoding of memories.

MG L Threonate is the best. So far ND is the only place I've found that has the powder without any flavoring, which I love! Man has this form of magnesium helped me. Has taken different types of magnesium for years, with ok effects, but this is on another level. In sweden magnesium l threonate is crazy expensive, so with this price, i say give it a try! Anders Björkman on 12th Jul 2018
This is neither stimulating nor sedating to me. It could be used for both effects. I find that it provides a healthy baseline, sharper thinking, and less muscle spasms. It’s relaxing and uplifting all at the same time!
