L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is used to produce noradrenaline and dopamine. It is one of the 22 amino acids used by cells to synthesize proteins. It is considered a nonessential amino acid, as the body can produce L-Tyrosine from dietary L-Phenylalanine by way of the phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme. The body then can convert L-Tyrosine into L-DOPA, using the tyrosine hydroxylase enzyme. This is considered a rate-limiting step, as the body can up/downregulate the enzymes to control how much of a specific amino acid is created. Supplementing L-Tyrosine bypasses one of the body's rate-limiting enzymes, and results in larger increases in dopamine production at a faster rate.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (NALT) is a modified version of the amino acid. The N-terminal has been acetylated, which increases its solubility, and ability to pass membranes in the body. NALT is 20 times more water soluble than L-Tyrosine. Many people report improved mood and focus effects from NALT compared to L-Tyrosine. However, those effects have not been clinically proven yet.
As a dietary supplement, take 350mg of N-Aceytl L-Tyrosine Powder once daily.

It does not have any effect on me for the first time I took 350mg was no effect and secondly I took 500mg absolutely nothing so that for me it does not work
ND Admin: NALT is one that really should be combined with other things. It's subtle on its own, but should help when combined with other nootropics. marki on 26th Mar 2018
As per usual -- exceptional product. Powder is light, fluffy and spot-on potent. Best quality NALT available anywhere. Noticeable increase in Dopamine at my personal 500mg dosage, however much less can be taken (and I suggest starting at the 250mg-350mg range; test the waters to find your optimal dosage.

Definitely precursor to dopeamine. When taken with other stimulants, like coffee, I definitely notice a subtle increase to my eurphoric effects and motivation. Garrett Bender on 16th Jan 2018
A feel good. I like it! Barak Skop on 9th Dec 2017
NALT has been a godsend for me at times. Really this whole company, Paul, who I don't believe I have ever talked with but I have read countless of his ridiculously informative posts on Reddit, saw him taking flack from many people for pushing for more stringent testing and folks that say all he does is advertise, which isn't true, he has hired an amazing staff who appear just as dedicated as he is. They are the unsung heroes.
Right now I'm in medical school full time, while doing my clinicals at 30 hours a week, working part time, have a 7 month old new born baby girl.
I would not be able to keep going and performing as well as I have been if it weren't for this company and what they offer. And for that I am forever grateful.
But seriously, the NALT is amazing and helps with my day to day grind. Phil Grandin on 22nd Feb 2017
It does what its suppose to do makes you feel better, be happy. its best to be taken wifh food and drink. I put it in a small bowl type and put water with it and drink. In the morning as well within either 30 minutes before or after breakfast. TK on 11th Sep 2016
For some reason NALT works much better for me than L-tyrosine. I notice a much faster and stronger mood boost when using it. I like mixing some into my morning shakes for a nice boost. Steve on 13th Feb 2016
