Chocolate is the most craved food in the world, and for good reason. It delivers not only powerful sensory benefits, such as aroma, flavor and texture, but it also delivers mood-related benefits such as increased energy and improved focus along with other health benefits − all in one package. RFI recognized that few products in the food and functional ingredient fields could deliver the same attributes and impact. In the 1990s, our team of researchers dedicated themselves to developing and bringing to market this remarkable solution - Chocamine®.
Chocamine® is a patented cocoa-based extract, comprised of a synergistic blend of substances found in chocolate, and known to promote energy, focus, mood and performance as well as satisfy cravings.* The beneficial effects of chocolate come from more than one component and Chocamine® is standardized to leverage the full symphony. Some of the most notable compounds include xanthine alkaloids (principally theobromine, a mild stimulant and cognitive aid), amino acids, nutritional minerals, biogenic amines, anandamides and polyphenols. It is GRAS, great-tasting, clinically tested and a convincing source of energy.

Really good if your stimulant junky - adding it to my coffee - feels like having a coffee for the first time also very good for veins popping out too. Pretty good for gaming as well.
I've taken pure cocoa products in a variety of ways in order to ingest theobromine. This product has a mild but noticable effect, increasing wakefulness and alertness. I just would like it a lot better if the theobromine content was standardized and listed. ND Admin: The theobromine is standardized to greater than 12%. It's listed on the spec sheet.
I enjoy this and it gives me slight stimulation at 1 teaspoon, mixes like cocoa in a cup of hot oat milk, tastes good and goes well with a Rhodiola Crenulata capsule. 1 tablespoon gave me a bit of a headache. Still not sure about this over good quality cocoa powder, about 5x the theobromine (4x the price) minus other cocoa compounds. Feels less edgy but also less euphoric. I'm not crazy about the low fat either. I measured one teaspoon as about 1800mg, not mentioned on the package or in other reviews.
This is a wonderful blend, and I like the effects of the theobromine and cacao extract. I love the smell too. Like a cup of hot chocolate. I add it to my coffee but honestly, I don't like what it does to the taste at all (~1000mg). The effects are pretty great, the blend is great, and it's nice that there are no added sugars or flavourings, but with only the addition of spices I can't say I look forward to my mug of Chocamine :D I still take it though!
I mix this with almond milk anytime I want a boost it focus and a light boost in energy with no effect on anxiety levels Stacks well with Panamax
I bought this on a whim and wasn't sure what to expect. I am too sensitive to the caffeine content in coffee and this wouldn't mix well in very many teas, so I started putting it in hot cocoa and protein drinks. I definitely notice that it gives a little pick-me-up. The tricky thing about Chocamine is you have to find the perfect dose. For me, 1.5x the recommended is where I receive the benefits. Any less, I don't notice much. Any more, it gives a headache and makes me tired.
From the first time I tried this in a mug of high quality hot coffee, I liked it. I hover around taking about 600 mg - 1g in my coffee. My coffee, without chocamine, is delicious. But the chocamine adds that extra OOMPH to the flavor. I feel that I am in an elevated mood. I can't put my finger on exactly what it does for me, but I just feel like I've had a superior mug of coffee, and something happy and positive happens to my brain that isn't just the caffeine. I will continue to use it frequently, as long as Nootropics Depot sells it. Also it blends wonderfully. Just stir it a bit and it is all dissolved.
Top-quality product, it boosts mood and stacks well with coffee. However, two concerns I can raise: First, it often gives me a headache (even taking pure). I'm not sure how to reduce such a side-effect. Second, I'm not sure if this is only concentrated cocoa. I read chocamine had a lot of byproducts; maybe it's a good idea to list them if this is the case. ND Admin: Our Chocamine is only a highly purified lowfat cocoa extract with theobromine added to reach 12%. Then it has tapioca, ginger, allspice, and cinnamon for taste. There is nothing else in there other than what is listed on our label. That's an FDA requirement that they are very strict on.
Looked to enhance coffee/caffeine experience but did nothing. Mixed various amounts up to one teaspoon with honey, but no luck.
I've been taking Chocamine for about 3 months. It helps kick out tiredness in the morning, and doesn't come with the jitters that coffee gives me. It's a bit subtle, but definitely does something for mood + focus. Also, it tastes nice.
