What is L-Citrulline DL-Malate?
Along with L-ornithine and L-arginine, L-citrulline makes one of three main amino acids in the urea cycle. Citrulline forms as a product of ornithine when combined with carbamoyl phosphate during the urea cycle, which is your body’s natural process of removing ammonia from its system. Ammonia naturally forms in your body as a waste product of digesting protein. Citrulline can also form as a product when your body converts arginine into nitric oxide.
Malate, also known as malic acid, in nature is known as the compound responsible for giving many fruits their sour flavor. Malate is also often used as a preservative, but when bound to citrulline, malate can provide greater stability in the body, streamlining its effectiveness. When taken as a nootropic, L citrulline offers a wide range of potential benefits to support your health.
How L-Citrulline DL-Malate Powder Works
When taking citrulline malate, your body metabolizes it into pure citrulline. Your body then converts it into arginine, another important amino acid. Arginine is then converted into nitric oxide, which leads to further production of L-citrulline. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator and plays a key role in your health.*
L-citrulline has been shown to gradually increase levels of arginine in plasma over a longer, steadier period of time. Many reasons to get this one
I specifically started using the ND scale just for this product. It gives you energy, helps with blood flow, and even helps me study a bit. As other reviewers have commented, the blood helps "other regions" if you know what I mean. But really great stuff, I'm a very happy customer.

Does as expected
Great exercises with its vasodilation, you can really feel the difference and even see your veins popping more than normal. Tastes a lot like sour candy too.

L citrulline/malate
Good quality powder, larger/fluffier, cakier crystals compared to bulk supplements brand citrulline. I know that's a comparison to a top of the bottom tier brand but it's what I switched from. I honestly can't say I notice a difference as far as effects but , to me, this seems like a superior product based on its appearance and product consistency ( crystal size, moisture content).

One of the pillars of my pre-workout stack
If you're looking for something stimulant-free to amp up your workout, this is it. This remains true if that workout is in the bedroom with your partner. In either case, I take three grams 60-90 minutes prior and it works like a charm for energy and bloodflow. It has a sharply sour taste that mixes well with certain fruit flavorings, especially berry. My pre-workout stack will never be without it.
