Differences Between Smart PS™ and Smart PS™ Green
Smart PS is a phosphatide complex that contains a blend of Phosphatidylserine, Phosphatidylcholine, and Phosphatidylethanolamine. Smart PS Green contains Phosphatidylserine only and is a soy-free variation of Smart PS derived from sunflower.
What is Phosphatidylserine?
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid that is a major component of cell membranes, making it a highly valuable nutrient for supporting cognitive function. Without sufficient levels of phosphatidylserine, brain cells may not transmit nerve impulses properly.
Phosphatidylserine is highly unstable and therefore prone to degradation. To overcome the issue of phosphatidylserine stability, enter Smart PS™ — an exclusive fluid dispersion of phosphatidylserine material, provided as finished dosage softgels, which has enviable stability. Phosphatidylserine vs Phosphatidylcholine
As phospholipids, both Phosphatidylserine (PS) and Phosphatidylcholine (PC) are major components of cell membranes. However, unlike phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine has very limited value in improving mental function. Why? Weak bioavailability. As a nutritional supplement, Phosphatidylcholine is hoarded by the liver. As a result, hardly any of it actually makes it to the brain. Phosphatidylserine, on the other hand, is a modified form of phosphatidylcholine that does get to the brain, making it a highly valuable nutrient for enhancing cognitive function. Phosphatidylserine benefits may promote cognitive function, support energy, promote feelings of well being, and healthy sleep habits. However, phosphatidylserine sleep benefits have only been found in limited clinical trials.
What is Phosphatidylcholine?
Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid with two fatty acids bound to a glycerol backbone and are a major component of cell membranes. It is found in the highest concentrations within the liver and the brain. Phosphatidylcholine benefits are derived from the fact that it is a choline source and that a phosphatidylcholine supplement may enhance the production of acetylcholine in neurons, which ultimately promotes cognitive function. Yet, Phosphatidylcholine benefits are hard to achieve due to its poor bioavailability. Phosphatidylcholine benefits were noted in a trial aiming to reduce localized fat relative to baseline data. Smart PS Green (soy free) Phosphatidyle Serine
I love this product, a mood elevator, as the sun is reduced in winter where I live. D3 is essential for bone and mood; however, this supplement is beyond that. To metabolize, the gel cap crosses the blood-brain barrier (powdered-filled capsules do not). Dosing to support you, to be at the top of your game, Supporting mood elevation of brain hormones of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. Engages typically in one hour. You do not have to take it daily. It is terrific for retaining and recalling, used in scholastic studies, i.e., preparing for exams. Offering you the ability to focus when over-stressed or with the aging process and associated fatigue. Great for lack of concentration. Suggest not taking after 4 pm unless you plan for evening alertness— assured no feeling of over-excitement or jittery stimulation. Laster sharp focus and cortisol control support
This is one of those supps that if I stop taking, I notice a drop in cognitive performance pretty quick. It keeps me sharp through the afternoon without having to take any caffeine.

Foggy brain
Heard a lot of great benefits regarding PS; however when I used it, I consistently experienced foggy brain. I wonder if 100mg is too high of a dose for me? I was originally introduced to PS through BulkSupplements powder form and had good relatively good effects (e.g., slept better, had more mental energy throughout the day, etc). I don’t doubt the quality from ND, just for some reason didn’t have the best results with their formulation(?).

Day 1 thoughts
Tried smart PS green with the recommended dosage. Last dose was about 7.30pm along with zinc, mag and l theanine. I definitely experienced deeper sleep to the extent I missed my alarm! Next day I had a feeling of tiredness but can't say it's the reason. Felt nice sense of calm when taken during the day. I will share my thoughts again after a week or two. Currently starting oxiracetam, PS, alpha GPC and shilajit

Exceeded my expectations
This is an underrated product for sure. I noticed an improvement in my learning and work performance. It took about a week to build up but I can honestly say I noticed this one a bit stronger than some of the similar nootropics that get all kinds of hype. I stacked this with Cognizin also from ND, and that was a great combination for me. I recommend.
