Description

What is MicroZinc?

Zinc is one of 24 micronutrients needed for survival. Some studies found that a zinc deficiency has a correlation to impaired memory function and diminished signalling of BDNF growth factor. The use of a Zinc supplement has been used in dietary supplements or food enrichment. Some reports mention zinc supplement benefits include promoting cognitive function, vision health, maintenance of normal hair, and immune system function. Zinc is also an essential component of many enzymes involved in the metabolism of proteins and nucleic acids. However, a conventional zinc supplement, such as plain zinc oxide is often associated with low absorption and poor palatability. The absorption of zinc is much less optimal for the zinc oxide form because zinc oxide is an insoluble form of zinc with poor bioavailability. MicroZinc is a form of sucrosomial zinc oxide with a high concentration of zinc oxide in a specialized sucrosomial form for maximum bioavailability.

How does Optimized Zinc work?

MicroZinc is a zinc supplement encased in large hollow spheres known as phospholipid micelles. These phospholipid micelles are made from sucrose esters of fatty acid, also known as a sucrester. Sucresters are obtained via fatty acid esterification of fatty acid methyl esters with sucrose.

The sucrester protects the sucrosome from breaking down and aids in the absorption and bioavailability of zinc. The esterified fatty acids act as emulsifiers to achieve better stabilization between aqueous and fatty phases, allowing zinc to be absorbed more effectively. The Sucrosome Lipid Bilayer is structurally similar to cell membranes, allowing for sucrosomial zinc to be easily transported into cells, thus improving the bioavailability. Sucrosomial Zinc has demonstrated higher bioavailability compared with zinc gluconate 8 hours after administration and shows a renal excretion similar to zinc gluconate, demonstrating a higher bioavailability. Sucrosomial technology enables this form of zinc supplement to have a faster and higher bioavailability compared with zinc gluconate. Sucrosomial Zinc contains 42% zinc and has excellent palatability and tolerability, without interference of absorption from other minerals, unlike conventional nonchelated forms of zinc.

    Best Zinc I've ever tried

These are amazing! They've helped tremendously with my immune system, inflammation, sense of smell & taste, energy & a numerous amount of things. And I love how they don't upset my stomach at all. I've even taken them on a empty stomach when feeling risky. And it didn't bother my stomach at all

Easily the best Zinc on the Market

I have been taking this form of zinc essentially since it was released. And occasionally I've had to buy a different form. Well let me tell you, none, I mean none of the market, compare to this form of zinc in terms of absorption, noticeable benefits which include brain, skin, libido, and hair health. I typically take it along with MicroMag and I know I've got my bases covered on two of the most important minerals. I'm blessed with ADHD-PI; these are essential in the ole' toolbox to allow my brain and body to to remain at an optimal level after taking a prescribed ADHD med. Which by the way, I've been prescribed for over 10 years now, and noticed zero negative effects from taking the pharmaceutical for so many years. They certainly aren't the only two supplements I take, however they may be the most important. And I would be remiss to not remind the world, Nootropics Depot / there isn't a nootropics company in the world that comes close to their cutting edge products, customer service, the folks on the front lines, who astonishingly get the orders out so quickly, 100% of the time. And finally, the ownership who literally make me feel like family, is vital. From the owner, and down the ladder, are always so authentic with integrity, continue to blow my mind with the innovation of the products they continually offer, and they never stop bringing it 5 BIG

    Sort of blew my mind.

Pretty much every mineral supplement destroys my stomach but these have no gastro side effects for me. These supplements are no joke. I read up on competing absorption and whatnot so was taking separate from iron (which i am chronically deficient in). One night I decided to take an extra zinc before bed. About an hour or so later I experienced violent RLS. I get RLS when my iron stores get very very low. I took a handful of iron pills but I was screwed for the night. Usually when i take a few iron pills the RLS goes away within the hour (required for tyrosine hydroxylase) and I had already taken a bunch during the day. Did a bit more digging and zinc not only competes with iron it can also lower serum ferritin by a separate mysterious mechanism. So these pills are strong. I played around and to prevent the RLS I can only take one pill, in the am, then 9 iron pills (Optifer) in three divided doses starting at noon. If you have low iron stores be careful with these! So then to the amazing bit. I have a compromised immune system and had picked up demodex (if you don’t know what these are do not look them up, it will scar you for life, take my word on it) from my BF. These are just part of the normal skin flora for many people but on me they went out of control and were ruining my life. My dr was completely useless (but have you tried baby shampoo?) so I resorted to buying ivermectin from Mexico. It did help but was not the nuclear solution I had been hoping for. I took it once a week for six weeks to no avail, and was trying to resign myself to having this plague for life. After a week of taking the microzinc I was on my couch watching Netflix when I suddenly felt my face get hot and a bit puffy. I thought to myself “oh great, what now”. Much to my surprise, the demodex genocide had begun. My immune system was suddenly like “oh, hello. Who the f*ck are you?”. I had not taken the zinc for this reason so i was really shocked and excited. This was the only change in my life. I had to take a couple days off for the sake of my iron, and when i went back on microzinc my immune system went nuclear again. The only bad thing is due to me having an autoimmune disease..revving up my immune system is causing other problems. But I’m almost cleared of this blight and will scale back after that. Out of any supplement I have ever taken, this has had the most noticeable and tangible effect on my health.

    Microzinc capsules

This is truly an excellent product. I'm not one to normally write reviews, nor am I sponsored or have any ties to ND via kickbacks. However, I'm a very loyal customer and have been because ND is truly the gold standard of nootropics and supplements. Not only are the prices incredibly reasonable, but you know that you're getting exactly what you pay for. Just the fact that there's rigorous, gold-standard testing, should count for something. So many supplement companies sell fake products that can be incredibly hazardous. With ND, you know you're getting the exact, product, dosage, and purity, and just that peace of mind keeps me coming back, aside from the incredible benefits I get when using their supplements. I love the microzinc and it's the only zinc product I've taken that hasn't wrecked my stomach. The specialized capsules provide bonafide zinc, without causing GI distress, or competing with copper for absorption. You truly cannot go wrong here.

Very well tolerated by sensitive stomachs

I am purchasing this not only for my family but also for a colleague who, desirous of supplementing Zinc for immunity benefits stumbled upon gastrointestinal issues with other brands (she is quite sensitive, magnesium does the same thing to her). I had her try this one and not so surprisingly she had no issues this micellar formulation, good job ND. We take this for the immunity benefits, to be honest none of us is actually feeling anything but I don't believe we are supposed to,

    good

These are great and are my go-to zinc supplement. They do seem to be more bioavailable than other zinc supplements. they are also a pretty high dose, so sometimes I open it up and just dump half of one in my mouth. they don't have any strong taste.

    Nausea

Unfortunately, I get nausea taken on either an empty or full stomach. I still take it once a week just to make sure I balanced levels.

    Small capsules

Took the entire bottle and noticed nothing yet. Not certain will continue with this brand yet. ND Admin: It's zinc... You don't feel it acutely. If you are taking zinc and feel things acutely, you are likely dosing too high, which is something you do not want to do with zinc long-term. This is a good daily dose for people to maintain healthy levels. It's not a megadose sort of thing.

    Chilled me out

I took it in the evening before bed. I have trouble with pills getting stuck in my throat so I ate an olive or two to push it down. Made me relaxed and then sleepy just after 8 pm. I assume it won’t do so during the day though. Yet another high quality product from nootropics depot, this product kicked my previous zinc supplement to the curb!

    Calming

I purchased this to support my immune system, I had heard zinc is hard to absorb and others I've tried upset my stomach, so it hought I'd give this a try. Not only did it help, and agree with me, an unexpected benefit is better sleep! I didn't realize it's good for that too, and I just happened to start taking it at bedtime at one point, and was wondering why I slept better. If I skipped it, I went back to my old sleep pattern. So sure enough, it helps with sleep too! And I just took my last one so I need to stock up. I'm very particular by the way, and sensitive, so when I say it's a great product, you better believe it is.

    Nausea-free zinc

While also being highly absorbable, this is the only zinc that doesn't give me nausea when taken on an empty stomach. I take it alongside magnesium (micromag) in the evening and it seems to improve my quality of sleep.

    microzinc

This combined with B-6, mag glycinate and theanine about an hour before bed has improved the quality of my sleep.

    No side effect zinc

I would always get a stomach upset when taking other zincs. This one works without any of the upset. It's part of my daily regimen now.

    I haven't Gotten Sick!

I bought this product for the purpose of boosting my immune system function, and have experienced great results. My girlfriend is a school teacher, and as the new school year was about to begin, I realized she would soon be exposed to (and potentially be a carrier of) an assortment of pathogens. I began taking MicroZinc at the beginning of September and, at the time of writing this review in the beginning of November, I haven't gotten sick! In the past, I would generally experience some sort of illness around this time of year (both when I was in school, and when my younger brothers would be starting school) - anything from the common cold to something a bit more debilitating. However, after using this product daily for two months, I can gratefully say this year has been different.

    Easy on the stomach

This is the only zinc I've ever taken that doesn't make me nauseous, even when taken on an empty stomach. I suggest taking it in the morning, as I find that taking it before bed keeps me awake.
