Seems to work
I use this work magnesium glycinate and it seems to be well tolerated. It gets hot when I put the powder in my mouth though, which is a weird sensation.

Magnesium pidolate is a very unique magnesium salt, and we’ve been hunting for a reliable source for many years. Recently, we finally found a reliable source, and we couldn’t be more excited! Magnesium pidolate is the magnesium salt of pyroglutamic acid (also referred to as pidolic acid, hence the name, magnesium pidolate). Not only does pyroglutamic acid help magnesium absorb better, it also produces significant nootropic effects. Due to this, we are very excited to offer magnesium pidolate since most of us take a magnesium supplement for its nootropic effects. Previously, the only real option for a more nootropic form of magnesium was Magtein which for many years was peerless. However, we think magnesium pidolate performs very strongly too, and thus for the first time in a long time, Magtein has some serious competition!
Magnesium pidolate is a magnesium salt that is formed by binding pyroglutamic acid to magnesium. Pyroglutamic acid is a unique amino acid derivative that closely resembles the structure and activity of some of the first nootropics that were ever discovered by Corneliu E. Giurgea. Interestingly though, pyroglutamic acid is a naturally occurring compound that we produce endogenously! On top of that, when magnesium is bound to pyroglutamic acid, we see an uptick in bioavailability, and an increased ability to reach the brain. Thus, it is not surprising that magnesium pidolate is the primary form of magnesium used in research looking at how magnesium can positively affect headaches. In our opinion, this makes it one of the most exciting forms of magnesium from a nootropics standpoint!
We need plenty of magnesium to keep our bodies and brains functioning at their peak. In fact, magnesium plays a major role in hundreds of different processes throughout the body, from stabilizing ATP, to modulating the function of NMDA receptors. So, we are already starting with a highly nootropic mineral, that has then been made even more nootropic by combining it with one of our bodies own nootropic compounds, pyroglutamic acid! Just taking these two separately would produce an interesting nootropic effect, but by binding them together, the nootropic effects get taken to new heights. This is primarily due to pyroglutamic acid helping to transport magnesium to the brain. By helping to transport more magnesium to the brain, magnesium pidolate can also produce significant pain management effects, which can be especially helpful for pain that originates from the head area.
Cognition Stack: Magnesium Pidolate + ErinaMAX
The pyroglutamic acid portion of magnesium pidolate somewhat closely resembles the structure and activity of early Corniu E. Giurgea era nootropics. With this in mind, we find that it stacks particularly well with the NGF modulating effects of ErinaMAX!
Pain Management Stack: Magnesium Pidolate + CoQsol-CF
Since magnesium pidolate appears to be uniquely well suited for supporting pain management for pain originating from the head area, we think it would go really well together with CoQsol-CF which can produce similar benefits.
Cardiovascular Stack: Magnesium Pidolate + CoQH-CF
One of the benefits of magnesium pidolate, is that it is also very good at raising intracellular stores of magnesium. Since magnesium plays an important role in the cardiovascular system, this means that magnesium pidolate is well suited to supporting cardiovascular function. To help this effect along a little bit more, we would recommend combining it with our unique ubiquinol formulation, CoQH-CF, which also helps support cardiovascular function.
As a dietary supplement, take 1,650mg (3 scoops) once daily.

Energy, mood boost, increased sociability are all things I've noticed with magnesium pidolate. As a huge fan of a previous ND product which acts similarly, this is a good replacement. In fact, I used to dose that product up to 50 grams per day! This mixes great within my water, letting me take a steady dose throughout the day. It also pairs fantastically with caffeine, and for whatever reason, Tribugen. Overall, I enjoy the effects A LOT and prefer it to magtein. If you liked the ambiguous-not-to-be-said previous product, you'll like this one too.
