Why Should I Take Relievex?

Throughout the years, some of our favorite products have been natural pain management supplements. Pain management is very complex and it’s sometimes hard to find functional alternatives. This is why we’ve always had a particular focus on releasing products that have unique pain management effects, such as palmitoylethanolamide, tetrahydromagnolol and kava.* We’ve been making little personal stacks over the years for ourselves, but also for friends and family that have been very successful. This has given us a lot of anecdotal data that helped us put together our new all in one pain management stack called Relievex!*

A big realization that we had over the years is that dealing with inflammation based pain is quite easy and there are a lot of supplements that excel at this, such as Andrographis paniculata, Longvida, boswellia and fish oil.* However it is much harder to deal with muscle knots, tense muscles and nerve related pain. This is the type of difficult pain we wanted to target with Relievex. Due to this, we paid close attention to muscle relaxation. With this goal in mind, we focused a lot of attention on the GABAergic and cannabinergic systems which play a major role in muscle relaxation and pain perception. By combining our kava extract, lemon balm extract, ginger extract, micronized palmitoylethanolamide, maca extract, supercritical CO2 boswelia extract, tetrahydromagnolol, and piperine, we’ve in our opinion created a stack that will make it feel like your sore muscles just melt away!*

What is Relievex?

Relievex is our newest Natrium Health stack, coming straight from the minds of Paul (owner/CEO of Nootropics Depot & Natrium Health) and our product specialist, Emiel. The main goal they kept in mind when developing this stack was to find a way in which to produce the most pronounced sense of muscle relaxation.* Attenuating inflammation is enough for most types of pain, but for muscle knots and tense muscles, addressing inflammation alone will not work well. In this scenario, we need to focus a bit more on the GABAergic and cannabinergic systems which is exactly what we focused on with Relievex!* Relievex contains the following ingredients:

• Kava: Activates GABA receptors which produces mental and physical relaxation. Activates the cannabinoid CB1 receptor, which also produces mental and physical relaxation.* Additionally, compounds such as dihydromethysticin, which is in our kava extract, have a strong inflammation balancing effect.* 

• Lemon Balm: Inhibits the activity of an enzyme called GABA transaminase (GABA-T). GABA-T breaks down GABA and turns it into glutamate. Thus, by inhibiting GABA-T we can elevate overall GABA levels. This once again produces mental and physical relaxation.*

• Ginger Extract: Ginger is great for helping to balance inflammation and, through its interaction with various vanilloid receptors, can help reduce the perception of pain.* Furthermore, ginger acts as a serotonin 5-HT3A receptor antagonist, which can help with pain induced nausea.* 

• Micronized palmitoylethanolamide (PEA): PEA is an endocannabinoid and is a major regulator of pain throughout our body. By supplementing with PEA, we can elevate our overall endocannabinoid function which has a significant effect on dampening overall pain, especially nerve related pain.*

• Maca: The macamides contained in maca act as fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) inhibitors. FAAH breaks down endocannabinoids, thus by inhibiting FAAH maca can help elevate overall endocannabinoid levels. This produces a unique physically relaxing, yet mentally energizing effect. A perfect fit for Relievex, because it helps keep energy levels up a bit while still producing a deep sense of relaxation.*

• Supercritical CO2 Boswellia: Our supercritical CO2 boswellia is specialized for activating the TRPV3 receptors. These receptors get activated by warmth and thus, activating them with our supercritical CO2 boswelia extract produces a wonderful warm sensation in our muscles. This effect slots in perfectly with the rest of the ingredients in Relievex and produces a bit of a “warm blanket” type of effect all over your body. Great for helping to relax both mind and body!* 

• Tetrahydromagnolol: As far as we know, tetrahydromagnolol is a Nootropics Depot exclusive compound. We created it by hydrogenating magnolol that we extracted from Magnolia bark. Tetrahydromagnolol is a much stronger cannabinoid CB2 receptor agonist when compared to magnolol and produces very unique pain modulating effects.* In our opinion, targeting the CB2 receptors with tetrahydromagnolol is what makes Relievex so special, because it adds another layer of effects that is hard to achieve via other compounds or botanicals.*

• Piperine: Last but not least, a dash of piperine to help enhance absorption. We have no idea how well this actually works because it would be practically impossible to do a pharmacokinetic study on this many ingredients. However, we tried out Relievex with and without piperine and consistently the user feedback was that the piperine version was superior!*

Melt Your Discomfort Away With Relievex

Relievex is very unique as a pain management supplement in our opinion, because it addresses pain from a completely different angle than is traditionally done. This helps set it apart from the other pain management supplements we carry, but also fills a gap for us that we hadn’t been able to adequately fill yet. Producing pronounced muscle relaxation is hard to do with botanicals, but through some clever formulation work, we feel that we have nailed it.* At the recommended dose, Relievex does a fantastic job of relieving physical tension and helps relax our muscles and mind very effectively.* Meanwhile, the effects stay very functional, making it great for daytime use. If on the other hand you are looking to fully melt away almost all physical tension, then doubling up the dose produces a very pronounced effect.* Do keep in mind that at this dose you may feel a little mentally fuzzy (in a pleasant way!) which can make it a bit more challenging to focus.* This is great for night time use though and makes it very easy to sleep if your pain has been keeping you awake at night.*

In addition to its excellent pain management effects, we find that Relievex is also a very unique mood booster.* It produces a profound relaxing effect that isn’t very lethargy inducing.* This makes it perfect for taking the edge off during the day, especially during periods of high stress!*
