Description

What is MicroMag Optimized Magnesium?

Magnesium is usually supplied in its most basic form, Magnesium Oxide, due to the fact that on a per weight basis it contains a lot of Elemental Magnesium and is cheap to produce. However, it has very low bioavailability estimated at around 4-5%. Logically it could be said, that since Magnesium Oxide is so cheap, you could simply take more in order to compensate for the low bioavailability, but this is where things get tricky. Since Magnesium Oxide doesn’t get absorbed well in the intestines, it produces a laxative effect which is why one of its main uses is actually as a laxative, however, most supplements, especially Multi-Vitamins actually use Magnesium Oxide simply because it is cheap and looks good on the label.

Luckily various different forms of Magnesium exist that have excellent bioavailability, one of the most common ones is Magnesium Citrate with Magnesium Bisglycinate and Magnesium L-Threonate also being very popular. However, we weren’t satisfied by those, as they still had their drawbacks. So, after a lot of research we settled on a novel form of Magnesium called Sucrosomial Magnesium which has excellent bioavailability. Sucrosomial Magnesium actually starts with Magnesium Oxide due to how much Magnesium it contains on a per weight basis. This Magnesium Oxide is then wrapped in a Phospholipid Membrane which is then enveloped by a Sucrester. The finished product is a Sucrosome Lipid Bilayer with Magnesium Oxide in the center. The Sucrosome Lipid Bilayer is very similar to cell membranes, and due to this, Sucrosomial Magnesium can very readily enter cells which is what makes it so bioavailable. In addition to its superior bioavailbility, it is also absorbed much faster than current Magnesium supplements and produces little to no Gastro Intestinal side effects that can be produced by other Magnesium supplements.

Uses and Benefits of Magnesium

Magnesium is an important dietary mineral, which most of us don’t get enough of because common Western diets lack foods high in Magnesium. In fact, this is such a widespread problem, that Magnesium deficiencies are now the second most common dietary deficiency in developed countries right behind Vitamin D. Magnesium controls a lot of vital biological functions, ranging from maintaining healthy blood pressure and Insulin sensitivity to supporting healthy cognitive functioning.* Due to this, the benefits of Sucrosomial Magnesium are somewhat endless, but to simplify things a little bit, these are the top three benefits of Sucrosomial Magnesium:

    • Supports improved overall cognitive health*
    • Promotes physical and mental relaxation*
    • Supports sleep quality*

Other benefits of Sucrosomial Magnesium are as a potential regulator muscle cramps, although the evidence is a little spotty for this.* This may be due to the fact that many studies on the relationship between Magnesium and muscle cramps, were done with Magnesium Oxide, meaning that the studies were limited by the low oral bioavailability of Magnesium Oxide.

MicroMag Optimized Magnesium Dosage for Capsules

    Great Product

This coupled with Cistancce and Microzinc gave me the best sleep in a while. I wake up energized and motivated to get the day going.

    Amazing

I have been recovering from mercury poisoning for the last couple of years and mercury actually blocks your magnesium and zinc receptors so I was terrible deficient. I have tried every kind of magnesium out there from ionic to glycinate chelate... This stuff is the GOAT. I would recommend specifically if you are deficient because you can take more without the GI effects and I definitely absorb it better. I'm on my third bottle.

No nasty gastro effects, and helped menstrual symptoms

I'm really happy with this supplement. I had previously bought a magnesium supplement from the grocery store, but it was a different, cheaper kind that ended up causing lots of intestinal discomfort. This supplement, on the other hand, has not caused any intestinal discomfort and I feel like it's helped to blunt a lot of my more serious menstrual cycle woes. Less irritability, less heavy bleeding , less cramps, less fatigue during the luteal phase. Will definitely be buying again.

If you want a review make enough characters available to adequately do so.

It is the best magnesium supplement I have tried but, I would like to see a magnesium dosage higher than 200mg - 400mg? ND Admin: 400mg of magnesium is 100% of your RDA as a man. You will be getting magnesium from your diet, so it is not advisable to go 100% of RDA or more in a single capsule dose. Plus, we physically couldn't fit it into a capsule at that point. There's not enough space.

    Great magnesium

Highly bio-available magnesium. Don't know what else to say, if you want Mg this is some of the best. Glycinate/oxide/... affect intestines a lot which is annoying. Micromag and Threonate are much better in this regard.

Powerful -- but too powerful for some people

I prepare stacks to keep my elderly Mom and Dad mentally healthy. Doctor tests kept showing my Mom's magnesium was low. I got these, tried them myself, and then added them to all of our stacks (only one at night). My Dad started complaining of heart palpitations. On a hunch, I googled this up: https://www.livestrong.com/article/283696-heart-palpitations-from-magnesium/ He say's it's exactly as described in the article: "skipped heartbeats and heartbeats that produce an abnormally distinct pumping sensation". I pulled these from his stack and the problem disappeared.

Best Mag on any Market !!!

Hey y'all... I have been supplementing magnesium for about 10 years now. I can tell you I have taken every form, with the exception for oxide. Here's where the comedic part must enter the review. This is magnesium oxide, however It's technically called Sucrosomial Magnesium. The bioavailability is absolutely off the charts. In other words it's highly bioavailable/absorbed. After trying each form thru the years, magnesium glycinate and malate have always been my go-to's...then MicroMag hits the market. With its bioavailability, I can truthfully say this is the first form of magnesium I've actually felt a difference after supplementing. 5 big stars and kudos to Nootropics Depot as I buy the majority of my nootropics here. Why, from top to bottom to front to back, they manufacturer their products the proper way and absolutely will not release a new product if you will, until they, as a group, have an amazing grasp that each product has been tested beyond measure. Keep doing what you're doing folks...it works and it works extraordinarily well.

    Effectiveness

I have tried other brands of magnesium supplements. None of them were near as effective as this one without the unpleasant side affects. Well worth the price.

You can actually feel it working

I was using 2 to 4 tablets of store-bought magnesium glycinate daily and did not notice an effect. I did not want to take more tablets and risk stomach discomfort. Micromag (sucrosomial magnesium oxide) is clearly a more effective form of magnesium, as I could feel my muscles relax the first time I took a capsule. I highly recommend micromag. I'm curious if micromag travels to the brain like magnesium threonate does.

    Micromag is amazing!

I found this product to be very amazing was very easy on my stomach. I've been noticing the benefits that are said to come from taking magnesium aswell!

    Great magnesium without the shits

I would always take the basic cheap magnesium at the store and get stomach upset. I later learned that magnesium oxide does that. I switched to this and it works great without any upset.

    Beat magnesium I've tried.

This form of magnesium is at the top of my list. You can definitely feel the NMDA antagonism with this form. I want to try magnesium Aceytltaurate, wonder if ND will carry this form?
